Wow! It's so hard to believe that it's less than a month to our big day! Currently "Food" is on our agenda as we're finalizing our menu for the dinner, and as you can see - we've picked our Wedding Cake design! While it's not 100% guaranteed too look EXACTLY like the picture, it'll give you a good idea of all the yummy goodness.

For fun we're going to post our full dinner menu here as we get it nailed down. This time of year, restaurant menus are changing so we have to get some more final details before we know what we'll be stuffing all our faces with! Stay tuned! 

Friday, October 16th:  

Meet and greet in the Media Suite at Mandalay Bay!  It's a room fit for everyone!  For those arriving friday or earlier, your all invited to come to the media suite to hang out, meet the other guests and see what we're up to that evening.  We will have some guests coming on their own and we wanted to use this suite as a central point for everyone to be able to stay connected!

Saturday, October 17th:

Wedding day of course!   The party starts at 3pm, er, I mean the ceremony, haha.  We will be getting specific details on the location, but for now, we can tell you that we will be gathering at the Mandalay Chapel at 2:45 for kick off at 3pm.  It's a short ceremony so don't be late!  To let immediate family know, we will be having pictures done in the hall outside of the chapel following the ceremony at around 3:20.  

Immediately following the ceremony we will have the media room available again for people to gather.  There will be some snacks and drinks there, not to mention the sweet suite.

At 7pm we will be dining at one of the signature restaurants in the hotel.  Dinner will be provided by the new couple for all to enjoy!  We will do a few speeches, a first dance and a cake cutting, so it'll be like a real deal!   We have that room until 9pm at which time we will head to the strip (details to come).

We've had a few questions on attire for the wedding.  We're calling it "destination dress".  What does that mean?   Everyone will be flying, so packing something easy is important.  Wear what you would when you go for dinner, the weather will be warm for all us Canadians!  The wedding party will be in traditional wedding attire, so anything from a suit to a shirt, and a dress to pants will work just fine!
